Valerie had a work trip to Rome recently for a 3-day workshop. Since the workshop started on a Monday, she went early to explore the city over the weekend, and invited cousin, Laure, to join her. It just so happens both of them were celebrating a big birthday (they were born 3-weeks apart) this year, so it was an especially festive excuse to get together and enjoy la bella Italia. Valerie hadn't been to Rome in 20+ years. And she can safely say, it's just gotten better. What a great city, indeed.
